I'm not in Seminary so I don't know if 1 John 4 was the theologically correct passage to read but I found it calmed my fears, both of going and the possibility of not going, and provided me a sense of reassurance either way. I prayed for Haiti, the Haitian people, and those making the decision about the trip, and let go.
